Pitti Uomo Will Host an Exhibition of the Brief History of Mens Fashion
Within the 96th trade show of the menswear Pitti Uomo which will be held in Florence from June 11 till June 14, an exhibition named Romanzo Breve di Moda Maschile – A Short Novel on Men’s Fashion will open its doors for everyone interested in this field. «A Short Novel on Men’s Fashion» is going to tell about three decades of men’s fashion history – starting from 1989 till present days – throughout the prism of Pitti Uomo. There will be presented garments of the stylists who took part in the organisation of Pitti events, and also some objects from collections that were showcased at an exhibition in different years. Olivier Saillard – one of fashion’s premier historians and curators, former director of Palais Galliera and Pitti Uomo art-consultant during this season – will become a curator of the exposition.
Earlier it was reported that Givenchy becomes a special guest at Pitti Uomo.
